India's stand-in captain Rohit Sharma expressed happiness after India returned to winning ways with a six-wicket win over Bangladesh in the Nidahas Trophy.
"It was a great performance - something that was expected from us. Till the last ball of the game was bowled, it was clinical. We looked into what went wrong against Sri Lanka and we thought hitting back of a length was a good option.
"We wanted them to go after the long boundaries. I thought the bowlers executed their plans really well. They came out and did what was asked," Rohit said at the post match presentation ceremony.
All-rounder Vijay Shankar's (2/32 in 4 overs) and Jaydev Unadkat (3/38) were the star performers.
Rohit did admit that India needed to improve on catching. "We need to improve our catching. We want to get better as a fielding side in every game we play. We are much better than that. Hopefully we won't make the same mistakes," he said after the game.
